“Monsanto has introduced a novel new idea into the genetically modified food debate. The argument is that consumers might be entitled to know the ingredients of a food, but not how a food was created.”
This emerged in a Boston Court when Monsanto sued Oakhurst Dairy because Oakhurst labeled their products stating that certain hormones, including artificial growth hormones like BST, were not used by the Dairy.
“Monsanto argued that any statement assigning merit to the avoidance of synthetics offended the market. Chemical additives are characterized as progressive and good, and statements to the contrary, uninformed and evil.”
Note that BST has been “officially rejected” in Canada.
Ahhhhhhh……. This is way too acid of a theme. Who cares, anyway? Who drinks Cow Milk anymore? Almond Mylk is SO much better! <g> On to happier things…
