The Raw Foods movement is growing by leaps and bounds, and I love it.
The #1 question I hear is, "There's so much advice out there, who should I believe."
of course. Only kidding. Actually, I believe in what Dr. Ann Wigmore
believed - learn to "Listen to Your Body," and "Be Your Own Doctor."
there's a period of transition in which we have to learn to listen to
what our body needs, not what we've trained it to want. That's where a
regime like a hands-on two-week program at an Ann Wigmore Institute comes in, or a similar program.
is one book that I've found extremely helpful over the past year. It
gives an overview of most of the programs and gurus out there, and has
a lot of solid, level-headed advice.
not "cheating" if you're not 100% raw - it's simply eating outside the
program. This is a lifestyle choice, not a religion. Just remember how
much better you're doing now than when you were eating the SAD!
