Dear Jim,
You need to know that I am really enjoying your newsletters. I pass on a significant amount of the information to my Sunrider group. By the way, I am now teaching some raw food prep. demonstrations to very warm reviews. I have a growing following of green smoothie faithfuls!
I appreciate your time and the creative energy I get to experience every Saturday.
Sincerely,
Heide

jim,
you rawk!
you are rawsome!
i read every word of your newsletters!
i look forward to them always!
i love colors!
i do get a bit frustrated with the slowness of my dial-up at home (i have the opposite hi-tech at work),
and the gurgling and sometimes not being able to get some pictures - but for me, it's the words that soak in.
the more radical and plainly spoken, the better.
thank you very much.
i am grateful for you and your newsletter and the raw food movement.
love,
aurelia

i found your letter very encouraging! i have 4 nieces and a sister-in-law that are seriously obese. the girls range in ages from 16-20 and their mom is 43. she had a gastric bypass about 3 years ago, but after the initial weight loss she has started to regain her weight.
they are all considering another type of weight loss surgery. they all live in michigan. i wish they would look you up. i am not slim myself (i weigh around 185 lbs., 5' 7") but i exercise daily and try to make healthy choices with my food throughout the day.
of course, it's not all that easy with two 15 year old boys and a husband that love fast food. i would like to find out more about chi.
thank you for your article!

Hi Jim,
I loved your green smoothie recipe--or should I say I enjoyed reading about it. I haven't actually tried it yet! :-)
It's so helpful to get ideas from other people, so thank you very much for sharing. I do have Victoria Boutenko's book about green smoothies and really like it.
I agree with you that it's important to have the greens be the main ingredient and use a little fruit to make it taste better. I've also found that adding a pinch or two of Celtic sea salt will help take out bitterness, and a little freshly squeezed lemon juice helps also.
Thanks again,
Kathey Ahlstrom

Hi Dr. Carey,
I wanted to confirm with you usage of another article. We really had a lot of positive feedback last article with our readers!! The article I thought would be really good was “The Wonderful World of Dr. Ann Wigmore.”
There are several links embedded in the article we would leave on and if there anything else you can think of to add on we can do that too. Thanks so much for all the information you provide!

Hello,
Since a couple of weeks my wheatgrass is growing and we hope my daughter, suffering from colitis ulsaroses, will get better. I found out about the wheatgrass by accident in a Dutch magazine. It seems that the Netherlands are about the only country in the world where the wheatgrass never was a success and until now hardly known! Can you imagine? Well we will try to help change it. So I started looking on Internet and found a lot, (besides the books of Ann Wigmore), and learned a lot.
And besides this, the USA should got to know the miraculous health technique I learned in South Africa: Body Stress Release. If you like: go and see the website http://www.bodystressrelease.co.za/. Based on the principal: the body will always heal itself if given the opportunity. I feel that the right food and this technique together would heal the whole world population.
Shall we start?
Sorry, just joking, sometimes you have to think BIG!! Just for the fun of it.
With kind regards,
Uta Koch

Dear Jim Carey,
I just wanted to dash off a quick note to let you know how wonderful I think
your efforts are.
I spent a month at the Boston Hippocrates Health Institute back in 1977. I
think the tone and spirit of what you are about are much truer to who Dr. Ann
was than the efforts of others who happened to come into possession of other
fruits of her work.
Keep up the excellent work. I look forward to each newsletter.
Best Regards,
Tim Campbell

Wow... Jim... you are amazing and I hope you don't let your talent stop just at my first issue of the newsletter. Keep them coming. Did you get them from a book? Which one? What a great way to tease people. Maybe I need to use the cherry one and put it on my pastors saladacco pasta if I make him the teaser. I go to a huge church which means 8,000+ per week come in... I am very involved too, and just yesterday the pastor had his secretary call to set up appointment to discuss my health ministry (hacres.com). Now we have to figure out how to make classes cost effective. Isn't that amazing... $150 for drugs per month for some and they want to have classes re health cost effective. Maybe that should be their motivator to keep more in their pocket in the long run!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi James,
You do a great job with the newsletter, and I appreciate your not wanting it to look like "some self-serving advertising rag". (-: Please remember you are performing a (very!) valuable service in sharing this info with others who have health challenges and may be on the verge of giving up.
My suggestion was just that you make your name and website more visible for people like me. Personally, I get so many e-mails that I have to scan quickly and delete. Also, I get so many newsletters from natural health sources that it's hard to keep track of them.
I can tell you're sincere in your mission and you truly want to help people. Likewise, I consider it my part to encourage friends who are sick to look into therapeutic nutrition. Passing on your newsletter might at least stimulate their curiosity to look into it further.
Thanks,
Judy

Re. this piece from the weekend newsletter..............
"Wal-Mart, the nation's largest grocer, has decided to take organic food seriously. Beginning later this year, Wal-Mart plans to roll out a complete selection of organic foods - food certified by the U.S.D.A. to have been grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers - in its nearly 4,000 stores.
Just as significant, the company says it will price all this organic food at a tiny premium over its already-cheap conventional food: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/04/magazine/04wwln_lede.html?_r=1&oref=slogin.
[Our local Wal-Mart in Swainsboro, GA, has been a test store for the past six months, and we've been VERY happy with what they're carrying.]"
I've been an organic farmer here in the UK for 17 years and can assure you that the appearance of Wal Mart on the organic scene is good only if....
1. They respect the costs of producing organic food
2. They do not try to cut this by compromising the standards we use to justify the tag.
3. They pay fairly.
For too long our dear consumers have had their food too cheap and do not appreciate the VALUE it has and should be conveying to them.
Best wishes,

I was just enjoying the new format when I came across the question. I think it looks great. I never thought anything was wrong with it before however... You are doing a wonderful job...
I have enjoyed your newsletters for a long time now and enjoy the basic raw direction your lives, newsletters and books have taken me. I have tried going the whole way but have been a huge backslider.
I am trying to get up the courage to come to the July 8th, Raw food miracle meeting. I hate going places by myself so am trying to talk my sister into coming with me. I am a shy beginner but warm up quickly. And your so close, we live on the other side of Union City.....
Wish me luck....
