I had a wonderful, wonderful time last weekend. As regular readers will remember, last September I attended the 10-day program at the Living Foods Institute and had a wonderful, inspiring time.
Last weekend Cynthia Allf and some of the other students from my class put together a reunion at Cynthia's place on Amelia Island - near Jacksonville, Florida. Not only was it great to see the friends I'd made in Atlanta, but it was inspiring to see how well they've done Living the Lifestyle. Debbie Charles, in particular, was a new woman, she's lost so much weight! I'm hoping she'll write up her testimony and send us some photos.
Visits to the spa were great - at least for the women - and even I totally enjoyed our morning yoga on the beach.
The highlight of the weekend was a group shopping trip to the Organic Market (visualize herding cats), and a community food prep session for Saturday night's dinner. Wendy Sharon brought a complete series of recipes - from appetizers to dessert - and we had a truly Raw Gourmet Feast.
And then - to top off a wonderful day - we drove over to Amelia Island Resort where Brenda Cobb was speaking that evening. The scheduling that made this happen was totally synchronistic. We found Brenda very inspiring, or re-inspiring, and most of us got to share our testimonies about how Living Foods have changed our lives.
Sunday night promised to be interesting, too. Our group was to meet with the Raw Vegan group from St. Augustine, and go to a raw restaurant with them. Unfortunately, my schedule prevented me from making it to that event, though I'm sure it was rawsome.
Yep, I had a great weekend. Thanks to all of you who made it possible!
