As a representative for the Creative Health Institute, I had the pleasure and privilege to participate in the third annual Raw Spirit Festival October 12th thru the 14th, hosted by The Radisson Resort in Sedona, Arizona.
We set up our booth beneath a shady tree, and hung our banner from the branches. We were surrounded by red rock and soaring hills outlined against the clear blue sky. It was magnificent!
Many wonderful guests visited our booth. I was surprised by the numerous people who know Don Haughey, the founder of CHI, and who knew Dr. Ann Wigmore. I felt honored when they ardently shared great memories with me about them and their stay with us at CHI in Michigan. I realized thru their eyes how significant this work is, and how these extraordinary individuals, Don Haughey and Dr. Ann Wigmore, devoted their lives to supporting people on their quest to reclaim a healthful life. That is quite a gift of compassion to give to humanity.
Over the course of the weekend, under the Creative Health Institute’s banner, we sold many books, had long chats and were very busy listening, speaking and learning. It was an uplifting experience.
At the Raw Spirit Festival there were many inspirational and educational speakers, such as Victoria Boutenko, David Wolfe, Viktoras Kulvinskas and Dr. Jameth Sheridan, to name but a few. Not only were there many lectures to choose from, there was music, dance, morning yoga, many workshops and food demos (who could stop tasting?). It was so much fun.

The international crowd was an outstanding collection of individuals. A generally youngish mix of singles, couples, families and older folks who were all in high spirits, peacefully interacting with each other and enjoying the atmosphere. I was inspired by their commitment to healthful living and enthused by their sense of global cooperation and consciousness. Indeed, a high mindedness expressed itself in every gentle move they made or word they spoke. As a group they were powerfully aware and nonviolent, generous and kind, attributes you don’t often observe in such a large crowd.
Last year there were 300 attendees, and this year the count jumped to 2500+. If this is a testimony of the direction society is heading in the not-too-distant future, then bring it on, full force! What a wonderful World this will be!
Creative Health Institute is already planning our booth for next year. We’ve got some great ideas, so plan on attending the next Raw Spirit Festival.
In the meantime, you are invited to join us at our Open House and Luncheon every Sunday at 2:30. Call us: (517) 278-6260.
Joy and Blessings,
Nina
