Germs cause disease, right? I mean, that's what almost everyone believes, so it must be true, right? Louis Pasteur discovered that, right?
Well, Pasteur recanted that belief before his death, and many scientists are now focusing on another theory that seems to explain the source of disease much better, something called "The Focal Theory of Infection."
The theory has been around since the early 1900's, but is recently awakening renewed interest:
