Weekend Update | ||||||||||||||||
Hi!
The biggest challenge to staying raw is staying inspired. When we have to do so much planning ahead when we travel, when we have to make our own "fast food" at home, when we have to turn down offers of "goodies" at work, it's really a challenge to be, and stay raw.
Staying inspired, constantly reminding ourselves of why we want to live differently than most of the world, is important.
To help you with this I've lined up a bunch of good stuff for you this weekend:
It's another Raw Film (and Audio) Fest weekend on RawDoctors.com, and I've posted a whole bunch of inspiring testimonials, including Paul Nison's feature-length video.
Looking for raw recipes? Be sure to check out the recipe section on RawDoctors.com. You'll find almost a hundred posted there.
There are a lot of us who want to raise our children to be healthy and happy, too. So I've posted a number of items about Raw Parenting, including Karen Ranzi's 2-hour lecture at Creative Health Institute.
All this, again, at RawDoctors.com. Please note that at the end of the page there's a link to Page 2. I've posted that much stuff this weekend - and there's no charge for any of it. Over on GrassyRootsTV.com there's another episode of my Raw Living Foods/Wigmore Lifestyle TV show available. This week's one-hour show is about the relationship between stress and healing, simple yummy salads, and composting.
Lots of food prep tips in each episode of Grassy Roots TV! Be sure to check out the other episodes, under "Season One." I'd love to
hear what you think.
On chiDiet.com/blog the Home Study Program giveaway contest is closed. The judges are evaluating the entries, and the two winners will be announced early next week. If you're looking for raw food videos on particular subjects, or just
want to keep a few around the house for ongoing inspiration or to share
with your friends, there are about four dozen titles available at chiDietVideos.com.
Remember - It's not "cheating" or "failing" when you eat outside of the program. It's just eating outside of the program.
Whether you're 95% raw, 50% raw, or 20% raw, how much better are you doing than when you were eating the SAD (Standard American Diet)?
Working with you to grow your health,

What's the difference between a Raw Fooder and a Raw Living Fooder?
Living Foods are those that would sprout if put into the earth. Living Food Advocates believe in a generous proportion of grains and fresh sprouts in the diet because of the biophotonic or "life force" energy these foods contain.

I agree with you that any increase in raw is better than the standard diet we are on now.
I've committed to eating more raw and eating more fruits and vegetables. I can't give up everything (especially chocolate) but by cutting back on the cooked and processed foods and upping the intake of raw substantially, it's a definite start in the right direction.
Thanks for the recipe links. It will help to expand the meal ideas.
