Cheesecloth: It's OK, but I prefer to do them in soil until they're about 4" tall.

I LOVE THE SUNFLOWER SEEDS SOAKED IN WATER OR JUICE INSTEAD OF DRY BUT I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO BUY SUNFLOWER GREENS IN A LONG TIME. I WOULD LOVE TO GROW MY OWN. DO YOU NEED TO SPROUT THEM WITH THE SHELLS ON? DO YOU NEED THEM IN DIRT OR JUST CHEESE CLOTH?
